Maria Goethe Thacker

Maria Thacker Goethe is an esteemed strategic advisor at Green Scientist. With a master's in public health from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Sweet Briar College, Maria brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. As the founding CEO of The Center for Global Health Innovation (CGHI) and president and CEO of Georgia Bio, Maria has led impactful initiatives in global health, biosciences, and MedTech. Her extensive leadership roles include serving on the boards of the CJD Foundation, Southeast Life Sciences Association, KSU Research Foundation, Greater Atlanta Red Cross, and more. Recognized as one of Georgia Trend magazine’s 2022 Georgia 500 List and "100 Most Influential Georgians," Maria is a visionary leader dedicated to driving innovation and collaboration in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
