TRUE CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

"I write this recommendation with the sincerest appreciation for the Green Scientist team and cannot overstate their immense contributions in shaping my application and successfully securing the O-1A visa. This would not have been possible without them.

There are three things you need to know about them:
1. They are true experts. Immigration is a complex and ever-changing process, and they provide clear, strategic guidance every step of the way to help you submit the strongest petition possible.

2. They are deeply committed advisors. They genuinely care about their clients’ success. I’ve seen Jiten and Peggy go far above and beyond for me — dedicating countless hours, late nights, and weekends to keep my case moving forward.
3. They believe in you. When things get challenging, they remind you of your strengths and keep you motivated to see it through. That kind of genuine support is rare.

My case involved multiple hurdles, including a complex RFE notice. Green Scientist guided me through each stage of the original and revised petition with precision and persistence. Securing my O-1A was no easy feat, yet their expertise and determination made it possible.

If you are looking for a team that can bring your story to life and stand by you through even the most challenging circumstances, Green Scientist is that partner. Give them the chance, and they will move mountains for you."

O-1A visa

The O-1A visa is a nonimmigrant visa in the United States for individuals who possess extraordinary ability in the sciences, education, business, or athletics. It allows highly accomplished professionals to work temporarily in the U.S. in their area of expertise.

Key Points

Who it’s for:
Individuals with a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in their field. This typically includes scientists, researchers, professors, business leaders, or athletes.

Evidence required:

  • Awards or prizes of excellence

  • Membership in associations requiring outstanding achievements

  • Published work in professional journals or major media

  • Original contributions of major significance in the field

  • High salary or recognition for achievements

  • Applicants must show sustained national or international acclaim and recognition.

Duration:

Typically granted for the duration of a specific event, project, or employment, up to 3 years initially, with extensions in 1-year increments.

Employer sponsorship:
The visa requires a U.S. employer, agent, or sponsor to file the petition (Form I-129) on behalf of the applicant.

This visa is often used by scientists, researchers, and innovators who want to work in the U.S. temporarily while contributing to high-level projects or collaborations.

FAQs: O1A

1. I meet 3 criteria for O-1A. Does this guarantee that I will get approved?

Meeting at least 3 criteria does not guarantee approval. USCIS evaluates the totality of evidence, including the quality and impact of your achievements, recommendation letters, and relevance to your field. Strong documentation is essential.

2. My EB1A petition was rejected. Will this affect my O-1A application?

A previous EB1A denial does not automatically prevent O-1A approval. The O-1A has different standards and is evaluated independently. Proper evidence and recommendation letters tailored to O-1A can strengthen your petition.

3. My EB1A I-140 was approved. Does this automatically guarantee an O-1A approval?

No. EB1A approval does not guarantee O-1A approval. While it indicates strong credentials, O-1A is a separate petition with its own requirements.

4. I have received a Request for Evidence (RFE) previously. Can Green Scientist help address this or refile my O-1A?

Yes. Green Scientist can review your RFE, identify gaps, and prepare a stronger O-1A petition. Prior RFEs do not prevent approval if evidence is well-organized and persuasive.

5. What does employer sponsorship mean? Do they need to pay, or can I pay?

O-1A requires a U.S. employer, agent, or organization to file the petition (Form I-129). They typically cover filing fees, but legal fees may sometimes be paid by the applicant in compliance with USCIS rules.

6. What is Green Scientist’s O-1A approval rate?

Green Scientist maintains a 99.9% O-1A approval rate for qualified applicants, reflecting our experience in preparing strong, evidence-based petitions.

7. How can I get my profile evaluated for O-1A eligibility?

Submit your profile for evaluation here: O-1A Evaluation Form: https://forms.gle/LSg7RVYoVz1Fmm9D9
Or email consultation@greenscientistllc.com for guidance.

8. I would like to meet a consultant at Green Scientist. How can I schedule a meeting?

Fill out the O-1A evaluation form first. Once your profile is reviewed, we will invite you for a consultation immediately following the evaluation.

9. I don’t have any publications-do I still qualify?

Yes, you still qualify without any publication. Publications are just one form of evidence. You can qualify through awards, presentations, patents, high-impact projects, or significant contributions in your field. Strong recommendation letters can also compensate for lack of publications.

10. My citation count is less than 50. Do I still qualify?

Yes. USCIS considers quality and significance of your work, not just citation count. Even a low citation number can qualify if your contributions have major impact or are recognized by experts.

11. I don’t have a patent. Do I still qualify?

Yes. Patents are just one form of evidence. You can qualify through original contributions, awards, publications, presentations, or critical roles in significant projects.

12. I don’t have a leadership role. Do I still qualify?

Yes. Leadership or critical role is one criterion, but not mandatory. You can qualify by demonstrated extraordinary ability, awards, recognition, or contributions of major significance.

13. My salary is less than $70,000 per year. Do I still qualify?

Yes. While high salary can serve as supporting evidence, it is not required. O-1A focuses on extraordinary ability and recognition, not income.

14. Can I apply for O-1A if I am currently outside the U.S.?

Yes. A U.S. employer or agent can file your petition from abroad, and you apply for a visa at a U.S. consulate after USCIS approval.

15. Can self-employment qualify for O-1A sponsorship?

Yes, if a U.S. agent files on your behalf. Documentation must show ongoing work, achievements, and recognition in your field.
